Whenever I use PC Pitstop, http://pcpitstop.com (http://pcpitstop.com/) to analyze my computer`s security, speed etc I often get a result that it needs defragmenting.
I check with my Windows and it says that it doesn`t, so sometimes I override it and defrag anyway.
So, I thought I`d try this one out for a month`s trial. The Microsoft system has a reputation for not being particularly efficient, which is why I wanted to look for something else.

This one has a very good reputation and I`m pleased with the results. It can also be programmed to analyze and defrag at prearranged times.
