An extremely useful site I came across recently, PCPitstop, does a health check, absolutely free, on your computer. More than just a virus check, it looks at your computer`s security, disk space, and a lot more.

Disk Fragmentation Analysis
System Resource Analysis
Device Driver Analysis
CPU Benchmark Test
Video Benchmark Test
Memory Benchmark Test
Detailed System Inventory
Spyware Check
In-Memory Virus Check
Internet Download Performance
Internet Upload Performance
Internet Ping Test
Internet Security Test

Put your feet up for 5 minutes while you run this, and you get a comprehensive analysis, with any recommendations, at the end.
Some adjustments can be done automatically if you want, or you can make any changes manually by following the instructions.

Yes I agree PCPitstop is a good site for checking your machine it also keeps your previous records to see if there are any ddiscrepancies overtime I have been a member for a long time now and it is a great asset.
If you have Norton 2003 antivirus and up you can also test your machine out at the symantec site as well

I`m beginning to think that there`s as many sites about security as there are others on the Internet. Just joking, it`s good to have some much needed help in these matters. \:D/

On one of the sites, http://www.anti-keyloggers.com/ I noticed that you can get a free download, or get the full version. But it doesn`t really explain the difference on the homepage. I don`t just want to download the free version if it`s not that useful. So any ideas about the advantages of the paid one at all?

From the download information

The unregistered version of Anti-keylogger™ is fully functional for 4 (four) hours from the moment of the system restart, after that the program switches off. The program re-launch will be possible only after the operating system is reloaded. The number of system reloads is restricted to 10 (ten). When the limit is reached, the program will cease to work and it should be either uninstalled or registered.
