I installed it, it seems to be ok and user friendly. lots of options, plug-ins...
But I heard that the security in it is the same as in the IE. the IE is not safe, so I'm doing a risk when I use Maxthon. Am I right? Can anybody reply, please? Thanks!

I used it. It seems to be much better than IE, but all sefety is really based on it. I don't advice it if u're looking for safety.

I agree - the safety complex there is based on the IE's, but only BASED. it is not the same - read the Help. And there's an online commynity on the official site of Maxthon - there are lots of articles about the safety.
When I tried Maxthon, it was a slow browser, but it was about a year ago. There are a lot of options and plugins, so I will try it again soon. Hope it was updated!

Must say I`d never even heard of Maxthon. Anything though that keeps the big boys on their toes is good in my book. ;)

Maxthon is the new name of popular MyIE2 - try it, looks very well. Sometimes I think the developers of IE7 copied the style from Maxthon)))

Maxthon is a bad copy of IE with cool ideas from Opera and Firefox. Comparing to the IE, Maxthon crashes frequently, if IE can correctly surf any site, sometimes Maxthon cannot. So it will be a very nice browserif future, when the developers will refuse to use IE's engine.

Victortsoy - Mxthon is a GOOD copy of IE. It has a very simply UI, similar to the IE's. But it has a lot of addons, plugins etc.
It looks very nice for those who decided to sey goodbye to the IE, but don't like Opera or FF. Or may be for those who still cannto learn a more powerful browser.

I say "NO" to the Maxthon. Why do you need it? It is just like the IE. Some options are well, but they works in more powerful ang cool browsers like FF and Opera. So why do you need to use a less powerfull browser?

I've used it before. I don't know about its safety, but I don't like how IE caches pages. I prefer firefox2.0.1, which I'm using at the moment.

Maxthon is a bit more secure than Ie. But I had tested before, and found that it was affedted by ie vulnerabilities.
Go for Opera.
